The Armenian Church-Holy Ascension serves as a vital hub for the local Armenian community. Its mission focuses on fostering spiritual growth and cultural enrichment through various educational programs, including Armenian School and Bible school, as well as empowering women through dedicated guild activities. The church bought its first home in Bridgeport in 1931, before moving into the current building in 1978. However, since its establishment in 1931, the church has evolved into a communal cornerstone, nurturing connections among its approximately 360 active members. Under the leadership of Reverend Untzag Nalbandian since 1984, the church actively addresses both cultural and spiritual needs, helping to strengthen diverse community bonds. By participating in events and services, community members can engage meaningfully, enhancing their overall well-being.
