Armenia Methodist Church, located in Chester County, South Carolina, is a historic place of worship with roots tracing back to 1832. Originally established as a campsite serviced by a traveling preacher, the church served as a spiritual hub for families who would gather and camp for a week to attend evening services.

By the mid-1800s, the congregation constructed a log cabin on the site of the current church, where services officially began in 1843. The first minister to serve at the newly established Armenia Methodist Church was Reverend John Watts.

In 1932, construction began on the brick structure that stands today, built entirely by the hands of dedicated volunteers from the congregation. The first service in this new building was held on September 24, 1939, and the church has remained a cornerstone of worship and community ever since.

Armenia Methodist Church is a testament to the enduring faith and commitment of its members, preserving its legacy as a place of gathering, worship, and community connection for nearly two centuries.
