Zach Bogosian is the first American hockey player of Armenian descent.

Born in 1990 in Massena, New York, he began playing for the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2006. In his second seasons with the OHL, he was nominated for the Red Tilson Trophy as the league’s most outstanding player.
