Micheline Aharonian Marcom is a critically acclaimed and award-winning novelist.


Born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in 1968, Aharonian Marcom grew up in Los Angeles.


Her first novel, Three Apples Fell from Heaven, was named one of the best books of the year by both The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. Her second book, The Daydreaming Boy, earned the 2004 Lannan Literary Fellowship as well as the 2005 PEN/USA Award for Fiction.


Aharonian Marcom’s other novels are Draining the Sea, The Mirror in the Well, and A Brief History of Yes, which was published in 2013.


Now living in Berkeley, California, Aharonian Marcom teaches creative writing at Mills College and is also on the faculty of the Goddard College MFA in Creative Writing Program. Previously she has taught at Haigazian University in Beirut on a Fulbright Fellowship.
