From Oppression to Inspiration: Razmik’s Works Speak to Survival, Forgiveness, and the Power of Creativity
Bio
Razmik's story is both uniquely his own and truly universal. Born in what was formerly the Soviet Union, this artistic genius was trapped in a country that stifled creative expression. Paradoxically, this violent, unforgiving government created an "angel of love" capable of painting images that literally weep from the canvas and sigh with triumph, love, and rebirth.
Internationally acclaimed artist Razmik is a man who paints from the soul. And his is a soul filled with pain, depression, and even anger. Yet his masterworks belie a past of chaos and turmoil. Razmik has lightened his heart with forgiveness. His paintings speak of a man who has conquered the unforgivable -- the loss of creative expression from a government rampant with human rights violations. The fact that this "angel of love" could emerge from such surroundings is a testament to mankind's strength to survive even the most desperate of circumstances and to Razmik's own special brand of humanness.
