Bio
Kristina Oganezz is a Los Angeles-based, award-winning artist with Extraordinary Ability status in the USA. Originally from Armenia, Kristina is renowned for her vibrant acrylic paintings, skillfully crafted with palette knives and brushes, blending classical techniques with a contemporary edge. She is an Honorable Member of the Union of Artists in Armenia and a member of prestigious organizations such as the International Association of Art (USA), the Visual Artists Association (UK), and the Portrait Society of America.
Over the years, she has exhibited her work globally in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions, with pieces featured in private, public, and museum collections, including the History Museum of Yerevan. Her outstanding achievements include winning the International Frida Kahlo Prize in Milan for her portrait of Charles Aznavour.
Beyond her visual artistry, Kristina has made a significant contribution to Armenian cultural heritage by inventing Bird Numbers, a unique concept completing the ancient Armenian alphabet, which complements the bird-letters included in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. She also pioneered the innovative Preaching Exhibition concept, an artistic approach that merges spiritual and philosophical narratives into immersive visual storytelling, inviting audiences to engage with art on a deeper, more reflective level.
