Bio


Paul Boghossian is a globally renowned philosopher. His research interests include the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of language, and epistemology.

With a PhD from Princeton, Boghossian taught at his alma mater and University of Michigan at Ann Arbor before becoming chair of New York University’s Department of Philosophy, a post he held from 1994 to 2004.

Currently Boghossian is Silver professor of philosophy at New York University as well as director of the New York Institute of Philosophy.

Boghossian has published numerous articles as well as three books: Fear of Knowledge: Against Relativism and Constructivism, which won a Choice Award as an Outstanding Academic Book of 2006; New Essays on the A Priori; and Content and Justification: Philosophical Essays.

In 2012, Boghossian was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities, and a member of the World Knowledge Dialogue Scientific Board.
